Grandma Tina’s Lasagna
The first memory of this delicious lasagna dates back to when I was 9 years old. To be able to see it I stood on tiptoe, pushing myself with my hands on the table. The scent pervaded the kitchen and I couldn’t resist!
As soon as it was ready, my grandma Tina removed the pan from the heat to serve it while still hot! Since then it has become my go-to party dish and my friends always tell me: “I recommend the lasagna!” Here’s the original recipe for you.
Ingredients
Lasagna Sheets
Fresh Cherry Tomatoes
Fresh Basil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper
Sugar
How to prepare Gramma Tina’s Lasagna
Season the tomato sauce with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper and a pinch of sugar. In the meanwhile, cut the fresh cherry tomatoes and flavor them like the sauce.
Take a large pan. Proceed by adding the extra virgin olive oil and a couple of spoons of tomato sauce. Arrange the lasagna sheets to completely cover the bottom of the pan. Add some tomato sauce, some fresh cherry tomatoes, some basil leaves and the mozzarella cheese. Then grate some parmesan on the top. Proceed in this way and cover the last layer with tomatoes, tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil and grated parmesan.
Put the pan on the heat for about 30-40 minutes, covering it with a lid. Serve immediately, while still hot
